Privacy policy

This policy explains what information EnviroSense Monitoring collects, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

EnviroSense Monitoring provides indoor environment monitoring for care homes, schools, offices and rented properties in the UK. For any privacy question, contact max@envirosense-monitoring.co.uk.

Information you give us

When you use our contact form or email us, we collect:

• your name and email address
• your phone number, if you give it
• the type of building and any details you choose to share

If you become a client, we also keep the email addresses of the people you ask us to give dashboard access or alert emails to.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit
• to provide the monitoring service, including alert emails, reports and dashboard access
• to send information you have asked for

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

Legal basis

• Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries about our services
• Contract: to provide a service you have agreed to

Sensor data from your building

• Sensors measure the room only: CO₂, temperature, humidity, light level and whether the room is occupied.
• There are no cameras or microphones, and no reading identifies any individual.
• Readings are stored on a hub in your building. A copy of the readings, averaged per minute, is stored in a secure database hosted by Cloudflare so you can view your dashboard and receive reports.
• Only you, the people you authorise, and EnviroSense Monitoring can see your data. Access to the dashboard requires a one-time code sent to an approved email address.
• Your sensor data belongs to you. We delete it within 30 days of the end of your service unless you ask us to keep or return it.

How long we keep personal information

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months if no service is agreed, and client contact details for up to 2 years after our last contact. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Services we use

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security, the client dashboard, its login and the online copy of sensor readings. Cloudflare may process visitors' IP addresses to protect the site.
• Web3Forms: passes contact form messages to our email.
• Zoho Mail: our email, including alert and report emails.
• Google Fonts: the typeface used on this website.

We do not use analytics, advertising networks or tracking pixels. The only cookies set are those Cloudflare needs for security and to keep you signed in to the dashboard.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email max@envirosense-monitoring.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
